The Treasurer’s Office will be closed for Motor Vehicle transactions, Thursday March 13th and Friday March 14th. The Office will also close early, at 1pm on Wednesday March 12th.
The Montana Department of Motor Vehicles is receiving a new motor vehicle registration system and has directed all counties not to process any motor vehicle transactions March 13 & 14. This includes renewals, processing new title and registrations, and reprinting receipts.
No Personalized Plates can be ordered from March 8-March 16.

Come to the Treasurer’s Office in the Courthouse during business hours and someone will assist you in registering your vehicle.

Not completely, but the State of Montana has an online database of forms that you can print off, fill out, and turn in or mail in.

You can schedule an appointment at any drivers license stations in the state using this website. The renewal/instatement process will be taken care of at the appointment.

REAL ID is an addition on to your drivers license or ID that is an accepted form of Federal ID, Montana Motor Vehicle has a great website to explain in more detail.
